Motivation is a Lie: Orders from The Enforcer

The Capo handles the strategy. I handle the execution.

You’ve read the dossiers. You know “The Five Families” are out there trying to put you in a box. You know the intel.

So why are you still sitting on your ass?

I’ll tell you why. Because you’re waiting for Motivation. You’re waiting for some magical feeling to wash over you and make the hard work feel easy.

Motivation is a lie. It’s a fair-weather friend that ditches you the second the rain starts. If you wait until you feel like fighting back against depression or anxiety, you’re going to be waiting until they are shoveling dirt onto your casket.

Here’s the hard truth: Nobody is coming to save you.

The cavalry isn’t coming. The Capo isn’t coming to drag you out of bed. It’s just you, in the dark, against the toughest enemy you’ll ever face—your own mind.

You need to stop relying on feelings and start relying on Discipline.

Discipline doesn’t care if you’re tired. It doesn’t care if you’re sad. It doesn’t care if “The Weight” is sitting on your chest. Discipline is a cold, hard order you give yourself, and you obey it because the alternative is death.

You think I want to get up at 0400 and hit the iron when my body is screaming? No. I do it because I’m a soldier in this war, and soldiers follow orders.

HERE ARE YOUR ORDERS FOR TODAY:

Stop thinking. Stop feeling. Act.

Right now. Put down the phone. Stand up. Do 20 push-ups until your arms shake.

Did you want to do it? No. Did you do it anyway? Yes.

That’s the only victory that counts.

Do the work when you hate it. That’s how you earn your button around here.

Move or die.
